Most KFS Colonies soon attract a shantytown/favela – inhabited by ‘locals’ looking for work, security and other benefits of association with the KFS. In some cases, the size of the shantytown rivals that of the agroville.
A dozen gray buildings (concrete housing blocks, factories, and warehouses) loom on the horizon. They seem incongruous amongst the rolling hills and thick forests – like some transplant from Stalinist-era Russia.
The KFS makes a nice profit from its Trade Rifles , and seems to have a pretty solid monopoly along parts of the Mississippi River
However, the KFS product doesn’t have the capabilities that some customers demand: the ability to deal with giant mutant animals and/or mechanized opponents.
